Antwerp Film Club × Slow Up for Humanity
What happens when we slow down and simply watch a movie together?
On the 24th of October, continuing into the night of the 25th of October, a room in Kavka Oudaan will be transformed into a film space where visitors can escape the
daily stream of stimuli, small screens, and companies that buy and sell their attention.
We open the doors of Kavka Oudaan at 5:00 PM. Take your time coming in, grab a drink,
find a spot and settle in. Before the first film, we'll ask you to put your phone away in a
sealed envelope. Completely optional, but we hope you take the time to focus on the movies
and each other.

Three films that each look at memory, time and connection in their own way. Eternal Sunshine of
the Spotless Mind explores love and memory. Aftersun takes us on an emotional trip to a family
holiday. And we close the night with a film we all grew up loving, Shrek.
The breaks are part of the evening too. Talk about the film, meet someone new, grab a drink, or
just sit and be there. There's nowhere else you need to be. For one night, we're disconnecting
from the constant stream of information around us, and reconnecting with films, ourselves and
each other. Come for the films, stay for the people.
Your ticket includes access to the event, a complimentary drink and snack, and extra
film-related goodies that will be provided at the event.
